About the Laboratory
The Laboratory for the Creation of Pedagogical Tools and Learning in Foreign Languages (LOAPL) is a research entity affiliated with the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed. The laboratory advances research in language didactics, discourse analysis, and educational innovation through a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach.
Our Mission
LOAPL brings together faculty researchers and PhD candidates to tackle shared research questions in language didactics, discourse analysis, and cultural studies. We aim to innovate teaching practices for the contemporary challenges of foreign language learning.

Discourse Analysis and Significant Objects (ADOS)
Leader: Lalaoui Chiali Fatima Zohra
Objectives: To revitalize reflection in applied didactics with meaningful objects and efficient tools to improve teaching/learning within the Algerian university.

Passerelle (ISSN: 1112-6337, EISSN: 2716-8328) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published annually by the Laboratory of Creation of Educational Tools and Learning in Foreign Languages (LOAPL), affiliated with the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed since 2004. ALTRALANG Journal (Algerian Translation and Languages Journal) is an international open-access peer-reviewed journal, published semi-annually by the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed since 2019. The journal serves as an intellectual platform for researchers in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Literature, and Didactics. It publishes original work in a wide range of languages, including English, French, Arabic, Spanish, German, and Tamazight.
IMAGO Interculturality and Didactics: An International Platform for Interdisciplinary Research in Humanities and Languages
IMAGO Interculturality and Didactics is a free international annual peer reviewed open access journal published by the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed since 1998. It provides an intellectual platform for researchers and postgraduate scholars to advance interdisciplinary studies across literature, linguistics, discourse analysis, translation, history, and language didactics, promoting scholarly exchange in the humanities and social sciences through a rigorous double blind review process.
IMAGO Interculturality and Didactics
IMAGO Interculturality and Didactics is an international annual peer reviewed open access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed since 1998. The journal publishes original articles evaluated through double blind review in the fields of the humanities, languages, and social sciences, including linguistics, discourse analysis, translation, language didactics, literature, history, and intercultural studies. It has an international editorial and scientific board and accepts contributions in several languages, including Arabic, Amazigh, English, French, Spanish, German, and Russian. The online version is freely accessible and downloadable.

Studies in Linguistics and Language Education (SLLE)
Studies in Linguistics and Language Education (SLLE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research in the fields of linguistics and language education. It is published by the Laboratory of Creation of Educational Tools and Learning in Foreign Languages (LOAPL), affiliated with the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed. The journal appears biannually (June and December) in English since 2025 and is entirely free of charge, with no submission or publication fees.
